The Chinese diaspora is produced by the interplay of diverse histories and traditions. The members of the diaspora have inherited the culture and traditions of their forefathers, but have also been transformed and enriched by their interaction with and growth among other communities outside China. The encyclopedia seeks to shed light and provide insight into the unique nature of the diaspora.
