Rooftops of Paris Sketchbook

Most books about Paris look at the city from the street. This one looks at it from the rooftops. Fabrice Moireau has climbed onto the zinc roofs, terraces, and high vantage points of the capital to paint what Parisians themselves rarely see: the relief of the chimneys, the dormer windows, the domes, the city rising above the avenues. The text is by Carl Norac, a Belgian poet and former National Poet of Belgium, whose words follow this ridgeline between sky and pavement. A Paris that one overlooks rather than traverses.
